A young seven year old hockey player in Stittsville needs help. He was at a practise and one of his legs was giving out. After testing he was found to have SPG4, a very rare disease that will put him into paralysis with no treatment. His name is Jack Laidlaw. A Go Fund Me has been set up for him, Jack Go Fund Me as the family needs up to 3 million dollars for treatment in the States. The Travellers Hockey League has made a donation and wanted to share the Go Fund Me link with you in the event you wanted to also donate.

With the province of Ontario announcing its re-opening plan the Ottawa Traveller's league will be able to resume playing games starting Monday January 31st at TD Place. Games at Fred Barrett Arena will be able to resume startig Sunday February 6th. The University of Ottawa is planning a phased in approach to its re-opening and we hope to hear more about when external users will be able to resume usage of their facilities this week, but it will be sometime in February. the schedule will be updated this week once we get word from Ottawa U on their scheduled re-open date for us.
In light of recent public health restrictions and closures put in place by the Provincial government due to the rise of the Omicron variant, all Ottawa Traveller's League games have been cancelled until at least January 25th. Ottawa U will remain closed until at least January 31st so any games scheduled there will be cancelled during that time as well. Currently the earliest games could resume (at TD Place and Fred Barrrett) is Wednesday January 26th, if the current closures are lifted.
